Purifying Room Spray With Thieves Essential Oil
Get ready to whip this bad boy up in seconds. Seriously seconds. Because there are only two ingredients. Thieves essential oil and hydrosol!
Purifying Room Spray
I'm sure you've seen various recipes for room sprays, room spritzers, natural "Febreze" or whatever else you want to call them, floating around the internet. And maybe you're confused on whether or not you need to add anything to make the oil and hydrosol combine better. (Epsom salt being a popular one.) The short answer is no, you do not. All you have to do is give it a quick shake to disperse the oils and you're good to go. Could you add something? Well of course. But I prefer to, yep you got it, keep it simple! No need to add extra ingredients that will only add time and money.

This room spray is specific for colds and the flu, but I love using it all year around because the scent is so pleasant to me. Spraying this around your house, on your couch, on your bed, pillow, carpet, etc. is a great way to kill pathogens floating around while at the same time making your house smell delicious. It also works exceptionally well as a bathroom spritzer. :)
Ingredients
4 ounces of orange or rose hydrosol
80 drops thieves essential oil blend (make your own!)
4 ounce spritzer bottle, either glass or aluminum
Directions
Drop the essential oils into the spritzer bottle of your choice. Fill the remainder of the bottle with your choice of hydrosol. Leave a little head space so there is room to shake the ingredients together. Preferably you will use a glass or aluminum spray bottle as sometimes essential oils can eat away at plastic.
Then whenever you feel the need, just go around with your little spray bottle and spritz anything that needs freshening. Mmmm yum!
**Remember to shake well before spraying so you disperse the oils evenly!
Note
You can use plain purified water for this if you wish. However, the hydrosol does give this an added little scent boost as well as air cleansing properties.
